Cool Stuck Black Water Valve

In our 2021 Thor Compass when flushing tanks, The black water valve pulled out about an inch further than the gray water valve. Now the black water valve will not close.
Does anyone know if the cable could have become disconnected. We do not put toilet paper down toilet, so the door couldn’t be jammed. Any ideas?

Hi Bill. That’s a blade valve, there is no cable. It’s just a handle that pulls/pushes a solid rod, and a plastic plate that rests in the groove of a rubber gasket.

Sometimes they get sticky and hard to move. I would spray the rod with a silicone grease and gently tap the handle back in. Spray the inside and gently pull it back out. Repeat until it opens/closes smoothly.

There might be some debris in the track. That would be tough to get to. Don’t be tempted to get in there with anything metal or sharp, because if you damage that gasket it will be a bigger problem!

Good luck. Keep us posted.
