Headlight bulb replacement.

My low beam headlight bulb went out. I reached into the wheel well and pulled back the rubber boot to expose the back. I can’t see it well enough to get a good view to see how to remove the bulb. I tried to gently rotate it counter clockwise but don’t want to force it. A google search shows a bunch of videos where the front glass is removed. I don’t want to screw the pooch and break something. Do I just reach back and turn it harder?

The RV is a 2017 Thor Outlaw 38RE.

If you have a replacement bulb, look at the base to see what the locking tabs are. Typically you rotate a bulb 10-20* counterclockwise to remove. In past vehicles I have seen where metal spring clips hold the bulb in place. In that case, don't remember what vehicle that was, the tabs on the base of the bulb just positioned it correctly and the metal clips secured it.

I finally viewed it accurately. The bulb is held in by a hinged metal clamp. No turning or unscrewing. Just un clamp and it pretty much fell out backwards. The hardest part was unplugging the bayonet plug.

I ordered a pair of (supposedly) replacement led off amazon. Hopefully they’ll make night driving a little less frightening!

I’m hoping that they’ll easily fit the existing hole.
