Stump the warranty guys

Had our second challenge with our new Vegas today just 2 1/2 weeks in. The first was a furnace board problem, which was promptly resolved by Atwood with a new circuit board sent directly to me at one of our destinations.
Hadn't needed the furnace, but it wouldn't stop clicking like it was trying to start. Had to remove the panel outside and manually turn it off.
This morning, shortly after starting the engine, the dash A/C and cameras shut off abruptly. Later I learned the wipers were out, too.
A call to the warranty dept stumped them, and they recommended some dealers along our route. First the tech checked under the dash for a loose plug connection. Then found a breaker open in front of the chassis battery. When it didn't hold, he found one of the nuts was loose on a wire to that breaker. (Insert nut joke here!)
Oh, the first suggestion from warranty was take it back to the dealer. Told him we are a thousand miles from there, and headed in the other direction.
Bottom line, minor problem, minor inconvenience, just a factory oversight. Perhaps my expectations of the warranty guys were overly optimistic.

Welcome to one of the joys of new motorhome ownership!

Unfortunately, as the new owner, it's your duty to get everything not quite right identified and repaired under warranty. That way you, (and the next owner), can enjoy a better functioning coach.

And once you've worked out the bugs to continue to add mods to make it even more useful.

I thoroughly expect to have issues, and will be quite happy if nothing more serious develops. Our last coach had few initial problems, and served us well for 7 years.
After 7 pretty good years, it was becoming the devil you know vs the what ifs of a new coach. You fix what you can, and can afford, and learn to live with what you can't.
After the first thousand miles, we are very pleased with the way the Vegas handles. Issues so far have been minor inconveniences.
Still cautiously optimistic about the Vegas,, considering both Thor's reputation and their promised commitment to quality and value.
