Sumo springs on rear axle of 2018 Thor ACE

I ordered front and rear sumo springs from Camping World for my new 2018 Thor ACE. The technician who is installing them said the front springs installed fine but that he cannot install the rear springs as there are some brackets in the way. I don"t know if this is a Ford F53 chassis thing or something that Thor did or if we just have the wrong part. I have seen many posts and videos of people installing these on the 2017 F53 chassis so I am confused. Does anyone have any perspective on why these apparently cannot be mounted on the rear axle of my coach?

If you do a search of the forum you'll find a detailed post about this. He cut out part of the offending member. This one is not CW's fault, but Thor's. Good luck!

Sometimes these projects require a little bit of independent thinking... Tell your CW technician how to "Git 'er done"!

<http://www.thorforums.com/forums/f27/wrestling-sumos-8262.html> is link for the mod. It is a worthwhile mod as the rear Sumo Maxims really help if the coach is loaded to the max. Considering the rear wheels should be removed and some skillful mods to the frame, it is relative expensive instillation.

Problem solved!!!!! (I hope). They ordered the wrong part. I have to admit it was an easy mistake as with this particular part there is fine print (very fine print) indicating that this part will NOT fit Thor Motor coaches. Reordered the right part and hopefully all will be well.

Thx for the replies.

Glad to hear that the problem was solved, and a solution is in the works!

Please let us know how much of a difference it makes.
