I have a good location for the main unit. What I would like to know, is where others have mounted the remote display?
I’d prefer it be inside where it can easily be seen, but not where the scrolling led display is a distraction. I don’t want to see the blinking light in a darken cabin.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks
Installed my unit under the bed. The display is mounted just above the electrical panel. Sorry no pic of it installed

In my case, the transfer switch and the power cord are in a storage bay underneath the driver’s side slideout. I plan to cut the cord just before it goes into the transfer switch and install the EMS in the same bay. I’ll then need to find a way to route the display cable into the cabin.
Thanks to all for their input.

Take lots of pictures of the installation for us, and good luck!

quick question. I have a 30 amp axis 2018 and the campsite only has 50 amp service. I know I can buy a dog bone to allow the 30 amp to plug in and I know that my axis will only pull 30 amp (I will not suddenly get 50 amp service)....my question....my surge guard is 30amp version....would I need a 50amp? Am I missing something....is it okay to plug my 30 amp axis into the 50 amp pedestal??

With the dogbone and your 30 amp surge guard your good to go.

Thanks! I assumed that was the case but wanted to confirm.

It's always better to double-check everything...

(And it didn't even take the entire 36 years of marriage; for me to figure this one out! )

I had the same question. I called Progressive Industries tech support line last week. Nice people and great they have such a line manned by a real person.

The answer was, use an adaptor to go from 50 amp pedestal to 30 amp plug and plug your 30 amp EMS into the adaptor. Your RV will be protected. No need to buy a 50 amp EMS.
