I would think that your surge protector did it's job: protecting your RV's electrical components from surges or sags in the power supply.

I agree with Bob. Did anyone from the park actually check the pedestal?

What type of surge protector do you have? My Progressive EMS shows you what the voltage is at the pedestal, and how many amps you're pulling.

I'm not clear on what you're saying.
Did your surge protector supposedly blow out the elctricity to others in the park or just to you?

I believe so... it wasn’t actually us, it was our travel partners.

So they say your surge protector blew out their electric on a different pedestal?

Interesting, it was our friends surge protector, they have 50 amp. Not sure what type protector they have. They tried it on our pedestal after we left, and it read “no ground”...or something of that nature.

I think that you were blamed for something that your surge protector did not do...

Agreed. The surge protector is pretty much a passive system and not likely to trip a breaker.

Question about surge protector and my new 2020 Thor Delano
On first trip in first campground I plugged in surge protector (SP) and RV electricity did not work. Removed SP and electricity worked. Next night in different campground tried to use the SP and again it did not work. I assumed I had a bad SP.
Got back from trip and ordered new and "better" (aka more $) SP. Have tried using the new SP on two different pedestals and also while connected to my home power and the result is the same - RV electricity does not work. Remove the SP and everything is fine. The new SP's display indicates it is working fine - no issues.
My questions - Has anyone had a similar problem? Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be causing this issue? I don't want to keep using my RV without a SP in place.
Thanks!

Surge Protector
Koho Camper,
Did you wait about 2 minutes after connecting? Our SP takes a minute or two before the electric is turned on.

Sounds like the problem is with the pedestal not the surge protector.

Maybe you have to reset a fuse.
