Talk me out of this...don’t

Planning to remove & replace basement floor in wet bay & mid, large storage.
Too many times got wet. Tried closing gaps around frame rails & door seals.

Removing fresh water tank doesn’t look like a problem...unless I forget to drain it.

Planning on using Marine Grade 3/4” plywood, under coating, & some method of draining.
Anyone DIY this project? “GOT ADVICE”? “GOT SUGGESTIONS”?

Hope you find where the water is getting in or out and can stop it. Good idea for the marine ply.
Looks like a good project and hope it goes smoothly. Be sure and take some pics and post so we can see how it goes.

What about using pvc (azek or similar) they sell it in 1/2 and 3/4 Inch 4x8 sheets .

https://www.lowes.com/pd/AZEK-Actual...B&gclsrc=aw.ds

It is a little more flexible but will never rot and easy to maintain.

Mousemate; Lowes seem to only carry 3/8 (.375”) AZEK and that’s out of stock.

Thought about 3/4” HDPE, but cannot caulk or seal any joints. Nothing sticks to it...except screws.

Figured Marine Grade 3/4” plywood, with sealed edges, painted, & undercoated would last longer than what’s in there now.

Photos (both ends) show pre start. Spaghetti plumbing was my quickie solution to getting rid of Anderson valve, and relocating pump. Life is better without Anderson valve.

Letting tank drain. Will remove it when we get back from casino tomorrow.

WELL! Back in Oct. I had big plans to remove fresh water tank to replace entire wet bay basement floor.
HA HA HA!
Turns out I could only move it 14” toward passenger side. That gave me enough room to use an idea suggested and fiberglass weak portion.

Underneath I bolted 3/4” treated plywood to metal frame using 5/16” bolts and 1-1/4 fender washers top & bottom. (Some tubes in pix are drains-some are pieces of tube covering SS bolts protecting threads from undercoating.

I keep a 200 watt heater on each side of tank plugged into a t-block. Has kept tank and lines from freezing for years.

A little more caulking underneath & cleanup on rocker panel & it’ll last a few more years. Peter
