Tangled Power Cords Bind the Slide

Recenly that damn bag under the slide tangled up the water and elec. cords. Had to cut away that bag as it had damaged the water line - crimped both hot and cold. Reoeeplaced the lines.

Slide worked fin till end of trip this weekend where the power cord looks to have become bound by the slide and the slide won't close all the way. Only 3/4 of the way. Coach is drivable but not safely as blocks mirror.

Anyone know how to release things in that area below the slide - it's so dams small can hardley get my hans in there

ANY help would be appreciated - Other than Hey Jim, you got to 'remove the slide' haha

Many thanks

Jim

I had a similar problem in my Hurricane when new. I attacked the bag from inside the slide. I had to take the bottom out of the undersink cabinet and then there was plenty of room to work. No problems since.

My coach is similar to yours will full wall slide (FW24F). There should be a wire bundle in a loom, 2 @ 120V AC lines using service cable and a propane line along with the water. All of them have excess length. That excess length is probably under your slide now in a tangled mess. The worst case is it got wrapped around the tee bar and is binding when closing. Propane line would be my biggest concern. I think the only way to get it out is to approach from the top and slowly wiggle the lines to see if they loosen. Otherwise you might need to remove the seatbelt attachments and then the tee bar channel to gain some more working room.

All the reasons I will never buy another coach where the kitchen is in a slide. It's the only area I've had all my issues. There's no cure for it.
