Tank Handle Problem

I have a Thor Compass 2019 and the gray tank valve and rod came out! Anyone know how to put it back? Do I have to go under the RV?

It should be threaded on the end and screws back into the knife of the knife valve if it is the standard Valterra type.

If the valve came out as you said you have a bigger repair than what Beau mentioned. The valve may have fallen apart or it may have disconnected from the piping. Post a picture for more accurate help.

It would probably need to be replaced. The valves are not expensive and have 4 bolts that hold them in place. Hopefully your holding tank is empty so you can replace the entire valve. They are available on Amazon and there are YouTube videos that can help you know how to replace it.

Easy fix
Call a handyman.
An elementary question calls out elementary skill.
It's an hour's labor for any handyman(hopefully).

I once had a sub "handyman" install a tub shower surround. The caulking job looked like my 4 year old grandson's work. Took me two hours to remove the mess, and about an hour to do it correctly... Note to self: Teach grandson the simple craft of applying caulk... he will be a better man for it.
