House battery charge

As a previous sailor we would run the generator 2 hours a day when we "set the hook" to recharge the house batteries. Is it pretty much the same routine with my 27.2 ACE...minus "setting the hook" that is? What can I expect the house batteries will run when dry camping: lights, TV, AC, microwave, etc?

If you're not able to hook up to shore power, and you're not out on the road driving (so that the alternator is charging them): running the generator daily is about your only choice left...
How much? That depends on your power usage...

I too am a former sailor of 30 some odd years. You will not be running the microwave with the standard battery set up on your rv unless you run the gen. My cruising boats had multiple banks of golf cart batteries and 2500 watt inverters to run the heavy items.
