Thor 2017 31L Chateau - Broken Sway-bar bolt

Hello everyone,
I need help in determining the correct thread tap size for the bolt that snapped.
I have been able to drill it out and need to re-thread it.
Purchased new bolts from Ford:
Bolt
Part #: W707284S439

The head is 18m but the vague part description shows M14X45. I would assume the thread size is 14m? Would that be the tap I would need?
Much appreciated!

That's not a vague description it's an exact description.
Yes that's the size tap you need.
You'll also need a tap wrench and some way to hold it all in exact position.
And we don't know if this is a through tap or bottom tap situation.
But
Since you drilled it out you now need the next bolt size up and the correct size drill bit to drill the correct size hole for the next size tap. Oversize hole is best depending on how awful of a job you did drilling it out(which was not the right tack) You potentially may need TWO sizes up.

Without pictures I can't give you specific guidance.
I haven't seen all brands but I'm not rememebring one that needs tapped as they've all been pass though with nuts. Both the ends and the mounts have nuts not captive threaded holes.

A very very small minority here will have any idea of what to do.
Yours is a garage/mechanic forum question.

Unless you have your own shop, you should take it to a truck suspension shop and have them repair it. You could end up creating more problems for your self. Leave it to the professionals! I’ve learned from experiences!

Thank you all.
Fortunately, I did not over drill the hole since I used a 12M tap.
I will drill it a little wider than tap for a 14M.
Will contact truck suspension repair if this does not work. Thanks again

Can you post a picture...is this in the rear? Will this cause the coach to lean to one side?

Part #4

It's a bushing retaining clamp bolt

Nothing in an anti-sway bar should make a vehicle lean.
