Thor Axis/Vegas Mud flaps

Are their Ford Stripped chassis oem mudflaps? The mudflaps on my thor looks like they were just sheet metal screwed on. They are WAY to low and I scrap all the time. I managed to pull one off while backing up. It slipped under the tire and ripped off. I am probably going to cut them to size and mount them. But I notice the metal bracket on the chassis has four holes. So wondering if there is a better option. See photos.

Is the metal mounting bracket too long, or just the mudflap itself... like the mudflap extended too far below the bracket?

I replaced one of the rear mudflaps on our class C. The actual mudflap material is a hard plastic which I sourced from Amazon... but definitely doesn't extend down below the mount as yours appear.

Mounting bracket is a good length. It is just the mudflaps are to long and just mounting dumb.

I got this off Amazon. Polymer sheets were a little larger than the factory original, but easily scored with a utility knife and snapped to size for a nice clean edge. Measured and drilled appropriate holes and mounted with new stainless screws/washers & nuts. Works perfectly! Probably one of my easiest RV projects.

Buyers Products Polymer Semi-Truck Mud Flaps - Pair, 24in.W x 18in.L, Black, Model Number RC18PPB https://a.co/d/3SwUeM6

So did you mount into all four holes on the bracket?

I believe mine are mounted slightly different than yours... my "bracket" doesn't appear nearly as robust as yours.

I did a post with pics... If I can figure out how to link it. Try this...

Ok I did the work. Cut off about 8 inches and mounted on the bracket. Turned out well.

I cut about 4" off of the bottom (well the top of the one that ripped off- they are rectangular) of the mud flaps on my Axis and tapered the outside edge so it wouldn't get stuck on the wheel well. I reused the same hardware.

Mine had ripped off as well when I backed up over a big rock.

Works great now.
