Ace engine grill lock

Somehow the metal hasp used to lock the engine grill in place fell off. Any ideas where to find one. I found a place that sells the entire unit but it is about $30. I contacted Thor without any success.

You still have the other latch, so what I would do is get a piece of bar stock and make a copy of the remaining pawl. a little bending, drill a hole the diameter on the flat on the shaft then elongate the hole with a rat tail file. It don't have to be pretty, no one will see it.
