Thor "Shrinkage"... how embarrassing!!
After a long cold winter here in the North East, I noticed our 2018 Four Winds Class C molding has shrunk and pulled away from the overcab section of wall - on BOTH SIDES?!?!
1. Anyone have this?
2. Any suggestions for how best to repair without damaging further?
Thoughts?
Dave.

Can you try taking a hairdryer to it )to warm it up, and soften it); and then try to massage it back into place?
Good luck!

Yeah that would happen to us every year on our old 5th wheel--in a similar spot.
Like Bob said: Warm it up and just tuck it back in.

My previous class c did that even here in Texas. After 5 or 6 years of tucking in the molding, I ended up putting a couple of self tapping screws thru the molding to hold it in place.

My coach only has that problem when it goes through a cold car wash.

trim shrinking
I had the same issue and in a pinch cut the trim at the very bottom of the pice next to the step for the cab. took the pressure off the trim pice and it tucked in nicely. Now I just have to figure out how to makeup the 2 inches the trim shrank .

Just happened to me too. Drivers side down by the step I was able to pull some slack from the way Thor tucked the end under the molding. Reinserted it . Seems to be fine since.

Same thing here. I replaced mine and was shocked by what I saw under it. BTW it is called Trim Insert and is inexpensive to replace. The Thor OEM stuff is really thin so look for a bit thicker trim. http://www.thorforums.com/forums/f8/...24f-16797.html

I had that problem with our former rig, a Damon 5th wheel. I got a roll of about 50 feet of it from an RV supply shop and replaced all of it. The old stuff was thin, fragile and very discolored. New stuff was thicker, very flexible, and still looked great years later when we sold the rig.

I had the same problem on my 07 Winnebago Access. I took the screw out that was holding the bottom strip and let the end slide up to where it would not pop out of trim any more. Problem solved, can hardly notice that the insert is slightly shorter than before.

I had that problem on my Thor four winds. I pulled it out of the track all the way down. I loosened the bottom screw about a turn, and eased an extra inch out from where it's wrapped and tucked under. I tightened up the screw, and reinstated the trim in the track. No problem!!

Do not heat it. Cut bottom end. Liberally spray with windex. Slide one side back into place at far end from cut and push into place keeping one side on groove and push back in. Took me 2 minutes to put 4 seasons ba k together. You cannot stretch ba k in by heating unless you want to replace.

A friends advice to shrinkage.
We had that issue with the molding on a window. A friend told us to use Silicon spray to loosen it up. He said you may have to spray it a few times to get it all loose and you can push it back in to place and may have to buy more to fill in the space. The spray cleans up easily he said. We haven't done it yet. Waiting for warmer weather. It sounds easy. This friend has done remodeling and selling RV's so I trust his advice.

Hi Dave,
Sorry I don't have any suggestions for you. The same thing happen to my 2017 Freedom Elite on the driver side of the coach. Our RV had been in storage for the Winter and I entered the coach from the entrance door and went out through the driver side door and nearly took out the trim, as I had not seen it had partially come out of its track. I had a terrible time squeezing the trim back in its place. I would love to hear suggestions from other readers out there.
