Thor Tuscany Water Leaks behind external panel

We have a problem I'm about to tackle myself. When we're hooked up to city water we have a constant drip from pipe work on the bus from the manifold system that splits the supply to the sinks, toilets etc. I had a tech look at it and he fixed a few leaks and basically said the pipe connectors were crap. He also said that really the front panel should be removed to get proper access to the pipes. Note this is all in the water supply compartment.

I'm thinking of doing this myself as a little project. Anyone out there already done something similar...especially removing the panel which the valve stems poke through? This is all very nice but it makes repairs a pita!
