Thor Vegas slide makes a "pop" noise at start
not sure what happened to my first attempt to post, so here goes again....
2019 Thor Vegas 27.7 -
When moving the back (bedroom) slide out, there is a very noticeable "pop" sound during the first 6 inches or so.
The slide will run to its full out position without any further noises.
Slide appears to be evenly extended (no sync appears needed).
The noise is coming from the lower left track area, and I can see slight movement in a black metal bracket or base as the slide starts to move out.
I can get the noise to repeat by moving slide in and out again, and it appears to be consistent. No further noises as the slide extends out, so I don't think its the drive gear.......yet.
I need to get access to the gear block/ drive shaft to assess the issue. However, the slide wiper is glued in place, and the metal strap the wiper is affixed to is riveted onto the side of the MH.
Do folks just drill these rivets out, and re-install using screws?
The videos online I've found show how to remove a motor, but they've already got the wiper and seal removed.
The attached pic is viewing from outside, and is the lower right corner. (pics post kind of mis-oriented)
Thanks in advance for any tips/tricks.
Cheers!
