Just got a 2018 thor four winds 24f class C, Drove it home from the dealer and eveything was fine, parked it in the drive way Extended the pop out and loaded it up. a couple days later retracted the pop out and started it up. As soon as I turn the key to start the engine I hear a continues high pitch alarm type sound.
Anyone know what that is.

Propane alarm due to condition of your battery.

I'm new to this class C thing. Witch battery, my coach has been pluged in the whole time. would it be the engine battery or the coach battery.

Very common for them to be delivered dead. Scenario....the coach is sitting on the deal lot. Someone turns on a light..... never turns it off. The next day, the battery is dead. These wet cell batteries if deeply discharged like that are damaged. Once or twice full cold dead and they will no longer hold much charge.

the first thing I did tour coach was to add mechanical disconnect switches on the posts of both batteries (the house and the chassis). When i store it, even if just for a day, the batteries get disconnected.

So having it plugged in wont charge it. because its been plugged in the whole time I had it home.

On my 31W I have to turn the use-store switch to on to charge the 12v batteries.

Short answer is yes. However, the store/use switch must be in "use" in order to charge and as previously stated, if the batteries are damaged it may not hold a charge.

I agree it is most likely the propane sensor alarm. It could be that you have a small leak of propane that the sensor is detecting. Turn off the gas at the tank and let it air out and see if the alarm stops. Are all the burners turned off? Just a thought.

If possible get the dealer to install a new battery(ies). The CO sensor in our last MH would beep if the coach battery was dead.

If you have leveling jacks, are the retracted?

Hey thanks every one for your advice. My battery was fully charged, My use/store switch only says on or off, and it was on, no propane leaks, come to find out it was a leveling arm that was'nt all the way up, only about a 1/8th inch down. Dah! I knew it was something stupid.
