Toilet issues

Hi everyone, I’m new to the forum and to Rv life. I have a low mileage 2012 Thor chateau 25c, and am learning the ropes. The problem I’m having is when I turn on the water pump the toilet fills up and wants to spill over so have to keep flusing don’t understand why. Any thoughts? I have a porclin toilet with foot pump and not on any hook ups Would appreciate some help on this thx.

Welcome to the forum!
It would seem to me that the "flush lever" isn't shutting off the water...
I'd start there, and good luck!

Yep you were right I need to insure the pedal is up, its working fine now what a rookie move, thx for responding and safe travels
