Kitchen sink

Spring is here so I think. Just got 12 in of snow yesterday. Hmm anyway starting to think of the things on the motorhome that need to be repaired and one thing I remembered is the kitchen sink. One of the handles is stripped out. Do these require a certain type or is it just any plumbing fixture? Do I have to buy a whole new faucet? Thanks.

Is it the fixture/faucet? Does it have a brand name somewhere?

I’ve wondered about that as well. My MH has a plastic kitchen faucet that works fine but feels cheap. I also have a nice kitchen sink that came from out home and wondered if there was any reason it could not go in the MH.

I replaced the bathroom faucet on my 2017 outlaw 29h with a standard plumbing fixture because the original was so short it was difficult to get your hands beneath it. I also replaced the shower wand with a standard plumbing wand because it was cheap plastic and did not work very well. Typically, the faucets are standard and relatively cheap in these coaches unless you have a high end coach. If you are attempting a repair, then you will need to know the manufacturer and even then may have a difficult time finding parts. I would take the failed part to a hardware store (Lowes, etc..) and see if they can match it.

Good advice from oldtymer. Make sure the new one fits the holes in the sink, they are standard but there are several sizes available, also try to match the hose connections or you will have to get adapters to connect the hoses to the faucet.

I need to replace mine in my Class C Freedom Elite which has cabinet drawers underneath. How do you get the drawers out? Is there a lock to disengage to remove them?

If your rv is like mine, there is a a switch under the edge of the cabinet above the sink to drain it. Took me awhile to find mine.

I dont have the same model as you but I would think the drawer mechanism is the same. You pull the drawer out until you see the black plastic locking device on the track. Each track (side) has one. There is a little tab that locks the mechanism. With your fingers you push one side up and the other side down and pull the drawer out.

I guess if anything I could just buy the same one and replace the part and keep the other one for replacement parts. I think I found one that matched and was only $50.

I replaced the cheap facets in our old MH with single handle faucets. It made it quicker, easier to mix the temperature and saving water. I used MH/RV specific faucets for ease of installation.
