Congratulations to everyone who had the Trimark latch problem, called them and got a free replacement. I had the pot metal plunger break, called Trimark and got the "wrong customer service person" to take my call and tell me I had to buy a new replacement for the entire assembly. Then I tried email and sent a picture of the broken piece; similar response.

I don't doubt any of you who got good service from Trimark on this issue. But, like so many other customer service departments these days, it all depends on the person responding to your call for help.

Too bad, but it's an epidemic. BTW, I purchased the steel plunger replacement kit and installed it to fix the problem on my RV. I try not to sweat the small stuff.

Most of the latches lack lubrication

Pull the inside screws and spray your favorite lubricant liberally over the moving parts and wipe up any overspray

I like the teflon containing but any good one will certainly make it work smother
