Trying to fix hail and tornado damage

Just missed direct hit by tornado Friday night, but the three inch diameter hail was a direct hit on our VEGAS.

So far the only damage we are seeing is our fan vent covers ( MAXX AIR and CAMCO) It looks like only the louvres are broken and looks like this panels can be replaced, but haven't found a source yet. Found source for black MAXX AIR panel at entrailers.com, but I need white..

I know I can buy complete replacements and just use the louvres, but trying to save money (as I also have plenty of house damage to manage)

Any direction would be appreciated, also if anyone has anything else that I should check for possible hail damage on my VEGAS, I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

The whole vent is $22 complete, no shipping charge. I paid $17 at cw.
How much do you expect to save?

(I'd be surprised if it didn't bugger your awning and antenna. Check your wiper arms.)

Make sure and check the roof. TPO is a tough material, but the worry would be soft spots. Perhaps deal with your immediate needs, but open a claim and let an RV dealer inspect that roof. It might be nothing, but probably worth the effort. I live in Oklahoma and the inspection is free and worthwhile. I know that I missed damage on my car.

Thanks for mentioning the awning and wiper arms...

Our MAXX AIR cover is looks to be the maxxair fanmate which is about double the standard. The black louvre looks like about 24.00 I know 48.00 isnt significant just trying to get fixed as cheaply as possible.

Thanks for the input. I havent had a chance to get on top yet (still got an inch of snow up there) And almost hate to look at the vehicles as they have been under snow and ice since the storm.

With the addition of your awning and slide topper damage issues, isn't the tally totaling up to a valid insurance claim whereby they (insurance company) would also have the entire coach examined? You might even get a total reseal of the roof included in that. How far are you from Wakarusa...might be worth the trip with all this.

Hi Mike ! sorry to hear about your damage...we dodged that bullet by staying in Fayetteville Friday night ! We had heavy rain and wind that night.
Regarding your Maxx Air vent covers...have you attempted to reach out to Maxx Air directly for those replacement parts ? Here is their link...
https://www.airxcel.com/rv/maxxair
I visited the site...looks like you can get replacement parts.

Hoping you don't find more damage !

Kay

Thanks for the reply, I actually got etrailer.com in Wentzville, MO to order the louvers from airxcel for 13.96 each...I went ahead and ordered a spare (or in case the other one is cracked and I haven't seen it yet)

Check the skylight over the shower, the outer part is probably busted.
