Blackstone Griddle

Purchased the Blackstone Adventure Ready 22" setup several months ago and must say we are extremely happy with it. Went with the 22" over the 17" due to larger cooking surface, dual burner to allow better temperature control and the fact that it was already a travel bundle.

Now the one thing we have yet to figure out is thw best way to travel with it. Stand folds up nicely, griddle separates from stand easily, but due to the hood it is rather large. We have not been able to locate a travel case / bag for it due to the optional hood. The Vegas has limited exterior storage therefore was trying to figure out a way to transport on say our hitch basket - keeping it outside, coach storage available, yet covered and clean. We have found over the years that anything that goes on the hitch basket better be in an enclosed container or willing to full of road debris.

Anyway thought we would check here to see if anyone has any creative ideas.

There was someone in here who took the fabric Blackstone bag, and added materiL to it; so that the lid would fit inside.

I bought the carrying case from Blackstone. Everything fits inside.

Almost half the cost of e-bay.

That was me...when we bought our 17inch Blackstone we also bought the fabric cover and the carry bag. When we later bought the metal lid we no longer needed the fabric cover and the grill no longer fit in the bag. So DW cut the cover into strips about 4 inches wide and cut the bag below the zipper. She then added the material so that the bag is taller and no zipper work was involved. Worked great.
