Urethane vs. foam tape window seal

2014 ACE foam tape window seals have failed. First off they are an inch short end to end 2nd start at the top of the frame and third the cutout is so bad parts of the seal doesn’t touch fiberglass.
I was thinking about using urethane windshield adhesive. I know it would be more difficult but would seal better where the cutout is bad without doing work to the fiberglass.
I have pulled driver and passenger windows should I check all windows. I never noticed leaking until plywood where cup holder is rotted. Passenger side had no indication of a leak until window was pulled and I see where it’s rotted between fiberglass and styrofoam. I have stored indoors since new so I can’t imagine what the damage could be like.

A very excellent post with great pictures.
We get few posts of this quality. You're in rare company.

The main purpose of windshield adhesive is adhesive quality.
It can be messy. I THINK it requires a different applicator device so theres an added expense.

I'd watch a few youtube videos, make sure my temepratures are correct, I have a helper, I'm aware of weep holes, shimming bad gaps, I'd slather the exposed cutout edges with 30year caulk/silicone to seal that up(push it into wall/material voids)...then I'd use the windshield adhesive.

Everything else seems temporary by comparison.

Temperature and applicator is key.
