I had a similar issue on a 2017 Thor Four Winds. After replacing the 5 amp fuse, which was behind my fuse/power panel. The switch would work but the battery disconnect would still not turn disconnect. In my case, the battery disconnect shorted out in the on position.

I also had the battery disconnect switch without the two built on 5 amp fuses. I ended up using the battery disconnect switch with the two 5 amp fuses but left out the fuses since the provided no value for my application (panel monitors); make sure you use the original 5 amp pigtail. I also added a 100 amp DC circuit breaker to protect the battery disconnect from future surges. You may require a higher amp depending on your system.

I was having issues with my batteries draining while I was in "store". At first I thought I had a bad Isolater Relay as it was not cycling. I determined that the Intellitec BIRD was not wired properly and two of the wires were reversed causing the parasitic power drain and preventing the relay from cycling properly.

Welcome to the site Dan.

A miswired BIRD is a frequent topic around here.

If I did have the BIRD, where would it be located?

Mine is located directly behind the coach batteries. You will need to stick your head in over the batteries to see it. It is a small metal box. Mine had 4 wires running into it. The Bird will identify what each wire does and the color.

Does our coach have a bird? If so, does anyone know where it is or what it looks like?

My BIRD and Isolator Relay (Trombetta) is under the hood in the engine compartment of my 2015 Vegas. Here is a picture. You can see the wires coming out of the Isolator Relay. Look to the right of the relay and you can see a black rectangular (looks like a black wall) with white lettering. If you zoom in on the rectangular device you'll see the printing is upside down. You'll notice it says "Intellitec" and below that "Potted BIRD -- Gas". Potted refers to the fact that the electronic device is filled and coated with a waterproof potting compound. Gas refers to the fact that this BIRD is for a gasoline powered RV, not a diesel.

In fact after listening to it work, I don't remeber it ever working working at all! Now its doing what its supposed and I check to make sure during my monthly New England winter checks.
