A BIRD/Trombetta arrangement does the same function as a BIM in post #48.

Your second picture shows the isolation relay (Trombetta, a brand name) which is controlled by the BIRD (your first picture? hard to tell).

The red arrows point to the battery connections. The green arrows point to the control connections.

But the SENSE connections which may be wired backwards will be on the BIRD.

I don't see the red and green arrows you were talking about. The bird is sealed, you can read the word BIRD in the picture, so I would need to swap the wires on the isolation relay? does anyone have a wiring diagram?

Sorry, forgot to post the pic. Swapping wires on the relay will do nothing for you.

Well it turns out that the fog light switch and the emergency start switch have the same plug and they were switched. So the relay was always energised. Switched them and all is good.
