Vegas 24.2 Hot Water Heater

I just purchased a Vegas model 24.2 but cannot figure out how to get water flowing to my hot water heater. I cannot locate a valve to direct water to the tank. The owner's manual is of no help.

Sounds like the by-pass valves for the water heater were left in the winterizing position. Find the water heater bypass valves. Should be behind the air intake in the hallway under the refrigerator. The cold water inlet and hot wsterboutput valves should be open and the by-pass valve should be closed.

Here is a link to the manual I developed. Check the checklist on winterizing. It shows were and how to configure the valves.

Thanks Ed

I haven't had a chance yet to locate the by-pass valve, but have looked thru your manual and think it is excellent. Thank you for your hard work.

No joy

I searched high and low and still cannot locate a by-pass valve.

They are probably there. In the 25.2 they are right along the hot wtr tank. Can you identify the lines into and out of the tanks? You may be able to just follow them to the valves (I know...a pain). As far as the bypass valve, it should be easier....do you have cold water to your faucets? If so my guess isthe byp is probably not it but rather the in and/or out of the hwtank.

Lines

The only water lines visible anywhere are under the sinks where I can see the hot and cold ones, but no valves. There are no lines visible or accessible at the heater.

By-pass Located

I was being overly optimistic in thinking the valves would be conviently and readily accessible inside one of the cabinets, but I was wrong. The valves are located behind a screw-in panel at the rear of the water heater adjacent to the gas sensor. Thank you all for the help. Now onto the television and audio/visual radio configuration.

Glad you found them I've found these forums full of great info. Congratulations on you purchase. I love mine.... Fixin to have 1st oil change. My best mod was adding a Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer. Makes driving so much more relaxing.

Have you been able to figure out the dashboard radio/dvd player? When I play a DVD it plays on the radio screen but I cannot figure out how or if it should be playing on one of the televisions.

In my 25.2, the dash player isn't connected to the other TVs. I, and I think many folks, installed DVD players, Chromecast, Roku streamer to the other TVs.

Also, two things don't seem to be documented.... Press and hold Mode button on radio will turn your rear camera on. Very handy to watch traffic, bikes, toads, etc. Also, if any camera is on, the volume control is not adjustable.

Thanks. Looks like I'll be purchasing a DVD player.
