Vegas Headlight Assembly Removal & Replacement

Has anyone removed the headlight assemblies on their Vegas? I attempted to adjust the headlights, but the adjusting screws were rusted to the plastic. Continuing efforts to adjust the headlights broke the plastic. The diagram shows that the two headlight assembly is all fastened to one plate. Is that correct? And if so, how difficult is it to remove and replace the assembly?

Thanks in advance for any help here.

Sorry to hear how the plastic failed whe trying to adjust. I don't have an answer for you and will be watching here for someone to "illuminate" us. I don't know of the diagram you described. Would you try to upload it in a post?

I would rather fix than replace/take to dealer (Thor).

Try some penetrating oil/PBBLASTER etc.
Then some epoxy/JBWELD etc to repair the broken plastic.
If it doesn't work your only out a few $ and a little time as apposed to a FEW hundred $$$

For Vegas...It's called a KaperII

The low beams are a problem
Even when adjusted, they still don't seem to point correctly and display adequate light
There are 3 adjustment screws: two for side to side + one for up & down

Here's the low beam replacement:

Here's the high beam replacement:

Removal Question

Thanks Taylorbob1,
It appears from the pictures of the replacements that I only need to replace the lights and not the whole assembly. The three adjusting screws appear to rest in little plastic sockets. What does it take to remove the screw ends from the housing? Do I just pry them back away from the housing and push the new ones in the holes?
Thanks in advance to you or anyone who has done this.

Take close up pictures of the plastic parts if you can't get one loose.
Go to just about any auto store and look on their
Help!
Rack.

I don't have a vegas but I doubt those plastic adjusters are anything special.
You'll(hopefully) find them at the first chain store you go to.

If you dont find them, post good pics here and one of us will recognize them.

I replaced one of mine, 2018 vegas. The adjusting screws have a ball and socket that mounts it to the front cap. Just use some force to gently un-snap it and snap the new one in place.

Thanks waterdog. That sounds relatively easy to change them out. I appreciate your help.

Thank you for the info on low beams and high beams replacements. I'm trying to find a replacement for the top lights(turn signal and running lights) in the headlight assembly for '17 Vegas 25.3 Can't find a replacement for my faded blinkers lenses. Any ideas?
And the question is not exactly related to this thread. Does anyone know the correct part number for the instrument cluster for '17 vegas? Any info greatly appreciated!

If you look on the outside of the lens, usually a lower corner, you should see a DOT number. Google that for replacement. For A motorhomes most RV manufacturers use an aftermarket version of an auto light. Example my 2007 Itasca used a later 90s-2000 Nissan Frontier headlight. The aftermarket version was made by Depo. I got replacements off eBay at a fraction of cost that they would have cost if I had gone to Winnebago or looked for a Nissan Frontier light.
