The following comments are made assuming the same design as on the Axis 24.2.

On my Axis, the little wheel at the end of the control arm slides in at the end of the track. I don't know of a way to get it there without removing the crank mechanism from the frame which, on my rig involves drilling out two pop rivets and replacing them when it is reassembled.

I can't see how it would have come out of the track unless it broke from the little wheel. If the arm came out somewhere along the track, you may have a bigger problem.

Perhaps more details or pictures would help. Others may have more experience or ideas.

Not all windows have a rivet or stop screw in that upper track. Easy to remove the Phillips screw or drill out the rivet. My galley window would slide aft by vibration. I utilized that feature when I'd locked the keys inside.

To get the wheels back in you need to slide one half enough to get the wheel aligned with the track and re- insert. Repeat on the other side. There is a brown plastic piece in the track that acts to stop the arms from extending. You can get the windows to open further by cutting this piece. I'm unable to find the thread where it's discussed but I think I cut mine to 6". Slide it back in and reslide the window half.

I found the original thread for increasing the window crank out:
