Question Video Switch Box Issue

In our 2014 Siesta, we are having trouble getting the QS53DVD Video Switch box to work properly. This may stem from my lack of understanding of of the device itself. After watching Thor's overview video of this component and searching through posts on here, I am still at a bit of a loss.

The main issue I am trying to resolve is how to view DVD's on any of the TV's. Each TV is connected to the switch box by one coax cable and the Radio/CD/DVD player is connected to the Video Switch box by RCA (Red/White/Yellow) cable.

My first question is how do I set the TV's to receive the input from the DVD player? On the switch box itself, I have selected the DVD button for each TV. Within the TV menu, do I need to select 'Cable' or 'Air'? Regardless of which option I choose, I am having a hard time navigating to Ch.3 or Ch.4. (Currently, I do not have any cable connected to the RV).

Thanks for any advice or explanations!

If I'm not mistaking you have to run the scan feature.

It does indeed seem that you must run the scan feature. I've only had luck after setting the TV's to 'Cable' and using the remote to select Ch.3 or Ch.4

Now if I could just get a clear picture on the TV without any 'snow', I would be in business. Might try replacing all the coax cables...it looks like they have seen better days.

Thank you!

Should be your TV inputs. In the settings of the TV using your remote. Find input and check to make sure that you are on the input for the DVD.

When you say input do you mean TV/HDMI/VGA or do you mean Air/Cable? I was thinking that since I only have one coax cable going into the TV (from the switch box) that changing inputs (TV/HDMI/VGA) would have no effect?

Follow cable from DVD to switch box if it goes to HDMI 3 then push corresponding button on switch box, then go to all tvs and move HDMI cable to HDMI 3 input, then turn on tv push source button scroll from TV to HDMI 3 DVD should appear ,switch back to tv source for over the ar tv.

Yes, turn your DVD player on. Turn the TV on and find the settings menu and go to input, or your remote may have an input button.
Regardless of how you get to the input on the TV, start changing inputs until the DVD comes on screen.

TV/HDMI/VGA input - sometimes labeled "source" - setting from the TV's menu.. Air/Cable has no effect on input from the DVD player.

Turn the power button OFF on the QS53DVD while watching DVD.
