Wakarusa Bound - Any Advice?

It looks like Wakarusa is my best option left for repairs. Just made an appointment for late November. Its a 1300 mile round trip and I'll try to make the best of it. If if fixes my leaks, it will be worth it. Our 37TB fits my family's needs, we love the finishes and it drives great for a Class A Gas Coach. It just needs to stop leaking from all 3 slides!

Any advice from those who've made the journey?

Only thing I can say is make a list of everything you want fixed--even things you didn't make the appointment for--they will likely fix them (even stuff that just bugs you; they will look at it).

As far as staying there: any of us' experiences who went there prior to COVID probably won't apply.

You probably need to winterize your coach and find a motel room if you are going to stay while the repair the coach., but they can advise you on that.

Why guess? As your appointment approaches call them and ask about any concerns you may have. I believe we had a recent report that you are no longer allowed to overnight in your RV but THEY put you up in a local hotel.

we've NEVER winterized while plugged in and on 'city water', even at the Wakarusa service center in the dead of winter... they 'take' your coach into a heated building when it's being worked on. As long as you have your furnace or space heaters working inside your coach, you'll be fine. Don't use the city water hose during the overnight hours when it's more likely to freeze with no running water.

They are NICE people, and WANT you to be satisfied - give them ALL your needs - they'll help you, and may even do MORE than you even asked!

Been there several times... all good, very good.

No longer overnight and hotel is owners expense. Thor is not paying for hotel rooms.

As others have said: give them an absolutely complete list, and don't be bashful about asking about the stuff you're not sure of.
Good luck!

Wakarusa Bound - Any Advice?

It will tell you in the paperwork that you receive for your visit that you need to winterize the coach for any service being done between October 15 and April 15.

You are also no longer are allowed to stay in the coach overnight during the work because of COVID. You need to get a hotel room at your own expense.
