Water in chassis battery?

I have a Windsport 29M. The chassis battery is a Motorcraft that appears to be maintanence free. Does it make sense to add water to this battery?

If it's maintenance free the caps are sealed & no way to add water. If the caps snap off easily it's NOT maintenance free & water should be added.
Motocraft is a Ford battery & probably maintenance free. So the answer to your question is NO!

Well the caps snap off, so I plan to add the flow rite system to add water. Thanks for replies.

I probably don't need to say this; But I will anyway!
Make sure that you only add distilled water...

Even though the top surface is flat and it's labeled maintenance free...you can still pry those flat tops off and it's just like a capped battery underneath. I don't think there's such a thing as Maintenance Free.

Not completely false ... sometimes true ... some Maintenance Frees are truly that, at least from a water replenish capability perspective (no pry-offs). And certainly some do have a valve plate that can be removed. However once removed I'd recommend treating them just like any other non-maintenance free FLA from there on out.
