Water connection

Had interesting thing happen with my water connections to rig. We have 2016 Axis 25.2 and have been on road for a week. I’ve been hooked up to water at campground, have hose running thru pressure reducer/filter to city water connection and twice I’ve either woken up in morning or gone for several hours and I find that my water tank filled to brim and excess water coming out of my fill connection next to where water is hooked up. So for some reason water being diverted to tank when it shouldn’t. Any ideas out there? Doesn’t happen every time either.

1) Unhook city water and run the water pump to clear debris. Then hook up city water and see if it fixed the problem...

If not, then...

2) Check your water strainer for debris and make sure it is tight. It is on the FW tank side of the pump and if there is an air leak or excess debris it can cause this problem.

2nd what Jimbo12 said. The water pump and the are under the couch, along with a spaghetti like bunch of wires and pipes. Prop the couch up part way, just before it flops down.

I try to shut off the city water when we are connected but not around. Have had hose issues more than once, only to return and find a muddy mess, unless somebody happened to notice and shut it off.

BTW, we store the ladder for the front bunk on top of the water tank, and a few other things under there, too.

Depending on what water management system you rig has. Mine did this and I had to replace the selector stem and the problem was solved. We have a Kantleak system. Kind of funny as the Kantleak leaked.
