water heater
On 2022 4 winds E series, is there another switch to start up the water heater on LP gas? besides the control panel? Mine will not light up on gas.

Propane has to be on and air purged from the line - use the stove for this.
12 VDC has to be available from the DC buss.
The LP control switch has to be ON.
If these prereqs are met then it's time to troubleshoot.
Start with: Do you hear the ignitor firing?
Is the "Appliances" fuse good?

I would think a 2022 model would have a tankless water heater. They start automatically when sufficient water flow is present. Go outside where the water heater is and turn on the outside shower hot water faucet. Listen for the heater to start and hold your hand over the exhaust to test for hot air. Like was mentioned you need to make sure the propane is on and all the air has been expelled from the lines. Light the stove before testing the water heater.

Nope, 6 gallon tank, even on the 2023 models.

Personally, I prefer the tank type. It’s stone simple and if all you want to do is wash your hands you don’t need to crank up a high flow and wait for it to get hot. Just a small trickle of already hot water will do the trick.

Can you fill us in on the brand? Hope the tank is not bypassed as mine was years ago in a 5er.

There is switch directly on the heater unit, in my case top center. It could be also air in the propane line. Start the stove burners first to purge the air first. It might take several attempts to lit the burners. Let it on about 30 sec. Try the water heater

Some water heaters do not have that switch. It depends on the manufacturer and model. My 10 gallon Atwood does not have a switch on the water heater.

If you do not have it, look up on line for your water heater model number for documentation. The documentation will have the pin out of the water heater connector. Ground, +12V GAS, +12V AC. The voltage should be provided by a relay from your house selection switch. The switch controls the relay. If you have not done so, register on the THOR web page and down load all your RV's documentation. It should include the wire list showing the approximate location of the panel switch and relay as well as the water heater connector along with the wire color and color of the wire stripe. My relay went bad. I made a fused jumper and ground wire soldered to pins that I plugged into the back of my water heater connector to operate it directly from the house battery to finish my trip. Just had to unplug and plug it for travel.
