Water heater Thermostat failure

2018 Thor Palazzo Owner here: We have an Atwood hot water heater and on on a recent trip a site neighbor knocked on the door and told us we were pouring water out of the RV. The water heater overpressure relief valve was "tripped" and very hot water was pouring out. We were on electric so we tried gas - it looks like the thermostat in the heater has gone bad. We replaced the circuit board a couple of years ago as only gas would work. Does anyone know if the Tstat is replaceable? I'll get a new over-pressure relief valve from Home Depot as once fired off these things seem to weaken a bit. Any thoughts/advice?

Very easy to replace, parts readily available and there are adjustable ones if you so wish.

EDIT: You can confirm it is the Tstat by removing its wire and if the WH only runs (LP or 'lectric) with it connected, then the board is OK.
