Water leak inside winsheild

Is there an easy fix to having a water leak inside the windshield? I have a 2016 ACE and when it rains really hard I have a small drip down the windshield on the drivers side. Any advice?

My suggestion is to take it back to the dealer to get it fixed before the warranty expires. The leak could be caused by any number of things such as a bad seal, a chipped edge on the windshield, just to name a couple.

Water leaks in the ACE windshield are pretty common. For Diy Fix go to NAPA. And pick up a tube of windshield sealant. There is a molding around the win-shield with the ends meeting at the top center. Pull off the molding cover and you will see this cover just slips into a groove in the molding center. Use the sealant to seal both the top edge and bottom edge of the molding keeping it away from the center groove. Let dry, replace the molding cover into the groove.

I agree totally. I have a 2016 Vegas. I spent some time talking to the installer when my windshield was replaced with stress cracks. They say they have replaced many tens of windshields on these models. Some had so little sealant around the glass that it was the wind noise that made people return for warranty work. Thor did a really bad job on these in this model year. Definitely complain during warranty. Thor was pretty good, no questions asked when we took ours in.
The window replacement after warranty is $3000. I hope your vendor can give you a reasonable turn around.

You asked for a really easy fix for the Thor ACE, not for a Vegas which has a substantially different windshield and problems.

I bought my RV from Giant Rv in Colton. Their repair and fix it skill set is about as low as Trumps vocabulary.

My proposed fix is easy, simple and you can do it in 15 to 20 minutes. It was also recommended to me by Thor Warranty. Try it you might like it. You will also learn to understand how this winshield and it's my lding are put together. This is not rocket science.

My goal is to learn to fix every thing that is in the RV and rely on the dealer, Giant RV for nothing. For stumpers Ill take it to Redlands Teuck and RV. You dont need make something more difficult than it is.

For the Vegas owners - its not the same type of windshield. What happened to your Vegas windshield just does not apply to the ACE.

Sorry
I thought they were similar windshields.

Same thing happened to my 2016 29.3 ACE. I got on a ladder and noted the black rubber seal didn't cover the opening correctly. I took it back to the dealer and they fixed it (I think) under warranty. I don't know what they did. We must have had the same idiot install the windshield you think?
