Water Pressure

I have a 2017 Thor Miramar 37.1. What are the recommendations for water pressure coming into the unit, and what is the danger zone of too much pressure?

Thanks

Below 40 psi and pressure at the shower will be minimal.

Read your owners manual caution statements to get the max pressure for your coach. All models are different but are normally somewhere between 60 and 100 psi.

I think you are safe at 55 psi and below. Remember the weak points are the plastic elbows into the 1/2" PEX.

Pick up one of these & use it everywhere you connect your hose. It's typically preset at 55 PSI which a good safe pressure. It will regulate high pressure to 55 but won't affect low pressures.

If have one of these they restrict the flow in order to reduce the pressure. The flow is restricted regardless of the pressure. I'd recommend throw this thing in a box & only use as last resort.

IMHO the top regulator shown above & a good quality EMS connected, either hardwired or portable 30 or 50 amp, to your incoming power source should be mandatory on every rv & in use every time the water or electricity is connected.

There has never been a reason for us to rely on the unknown pressure of shore water.
Fill your tank, use your pump. Shore water system is an emergency thing if my tank or pump quits.

Tank/pump is always consistant, no worries, no frozen hose, no split hose, no faucet leaking 24 hours a day.
