Dometic Refrigerator too cold

2021 Four Winds with Dometic refrigerator with automatic temperature control. The problem is that the refrigerator side is too cold, freezing items. Any ideas?

Our fridge is an "automatic" absorption type. However, there is a little plastic slider clipped to the right side of the fins in the fridge. There's a wire attached to it. Moving it up or down is what fine tunes the fridge temp.

I see the clip but there is no wire attached?.
