Weight on a roof

Hey Everyone - I am new to RVing and have a 2016 Miramar. I need to do some maintenance on the roof and I am curious on how much the roof holds. Any idea if I can walk around up there? I know there is a ladder on the back but last thing I need to do is reintroduce myself to my wife by falling through.

Advice is always appreciated.

Should not be a problem to walk on. I'm 220 lbs and walk all over the roof. Just be careful washing etc and backing up on top, as if you trip it's a long way down to the ground. Lol

Thor Manual pg 78 shows weight limit for ladder at 250 lbs. States Thor motorhomes have plywood reinforced roof and are safe to walk on. (does not list a limit) Cautions slippery when wet.

If the roof is reinforced do you think it would support an overhead lift? The kind of lift used to transport a paralyzed person such as myself. We have one in use at out house right now. It would be nice to have one in our unit because it would make it a lot easier to transfer me the bed than how we do it now.

I'm guessing you're talking about mounting something inside from the ceiling? I wouldn't dare comment on how that would work other than my ceiling is only paneling.

You're correct Travelin' Texans. The system involves a rail attached to the ceiling that then has something similar to hoist that rides in the track. Something similar to this - Ceiling Track Solutions | OpeMed

Thanks

My 5er has aluminum trusses on 16" centers, but wouldn't have any idea about MH. Not sure I'd trust someone in customer service opinion, need info from someone that understands what/how you're trying to do, not a guess, especially if you're hanging on it, just my .02 cents.
