Xantrex uses an RJ-12 data cable. They are available in 25 ft and 50 ft lengths. Might be the same for your inverter.
As for fishing the cable - Thor MC provided a wiring chase from under the bed (where all my electronics are located) to the hollow bathroom wall where all the electronic displays are located. Thoughtful engineers!
