What is this area called

There is air and light coming into the coach from this area. I've seen spider webs in the area to. Shouldn't there be some kind of barrier here? I don't know what it is called. So I can't find the part I need.

When you are parked away from street lights, etc, and it is dark, place a light on the floor near the pedals and raise the hood and look for that light coming thru the firewall. Once you find it then plug it with insulation or spray foam insulation like the one in the link below.

That entire front end and cab was built by Thor on a naked, bare chassis by common laborers. It's common to find areas like that. Our last Super C on the Ford F550 chassis had air gaps between the coach body and the back of the Ford Factory cab. As advised, get a flashlight and a dark parking lot and become your own Quality Control Inspector. You'll be amazed what makes it through up there (Wakarusa).
