What caulking do you use for MH roof edging?

Hi
I seam where the white roof meets with the MH has light peeling.

What caulking do folks use along all the roof seams?

IS this the stuff used on the roof to seal around AC, the solar panels, vents etc?
The stuff that looks like it is runny when first used?

No, that is called "self-leveling lap sealant" made by Dicor and other manufacturers.

If possible I'd use eternabond(or whatever it's called) tape, hit it with some snow coat paint and be done with it.

I agree with the eternabond comment. You can either go over the existing sealant with it or take off the existing sealant first. Just be sure to use some acetone to clean the area first. Once you are done though, you can be sure it is done for a good while. I installed some a few years back and check it every now and then but haven't had to repair it since.

About what Thor recommends:
What they use, failed. Miserably.
That's why you're fixxing it.

Their recommendation would be a reason to avoid their suggested product.

I'd try something different, costlier, and not designed for quick assembly-line production.

Spend the time and money Thor didn't.
We all say they should have used better materials...now we can.
Anything you can do better, do better.

First, I wouldn't use acetone on the rubber, whichever type it may be, roof material, denatured alcohol would be my choice if something stronger than 409 or other cleaner is needed.
Also DO NOT use Eternabond around any fixture such as vents or skylights that may need replaced at some point, that tape is a royal PITA to remove.
