What's this wire for?

Have 2021 Thor Quantum RC25.
Had damage to front awning support and installed replacement for entire forward awning arm except for motor.
There were 5 wires coming out of the coach and feeding through lower hole in awning support that bolts to motorhome.
2 wires for Awning Motor, 2 for LED Awning lights and one black wire going up to top of awning support and back into coach.
In order to replace Support Arm I had to cut all 5 wires.
Installed new arm and reconnected Motor and light wires - 5th wire is a problem... It's a thin shielded wire - possibly audio or some kinda RF.
Tested Radio and TV - all work correctly.

Anyone know what this thin black wire connects to? How to re-splice shielded wire?

Awning Motor and lights working fine.

Any help is appreciated .

A makeshift fix would be to solder the center connector back together being careful not to short the shielding to the center conductor. Wrap a small piece of aluminum foil tightly over outside of wire. Seal with clear nail polish or liquid electrical tape. In a pinch you could also use hotmelt glue. BUT... make sure the wire is not directly exposed to weather.

A "better" fix would be to get appropriate male/female connectors to splice onto the wire ends. But if you're not using it... go with plan A as a temporary fix.

It might be an XM radio antenna wire, although mine goes up through the roof near the Winegard antenna.
