I was finally able to get a dealer to order the exact ladder I needed for my 2016 Vegas and have Thor drop ship it to me. I had to pay over $600 for it. Now, I want to install it myself because quotes to install have been between $300-over $500. It seems pretty straightforward, but I have one question:
The new ladder does not have holes where it has to be attached to the supports. Do I just drill holes in the aluminum uprights and attach the ladder with bolts to the supports? If so, what drill bit should I use so as not to break the upright tubes? Any tips on technique for drilling the holes? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I'm fairly handy for a 77 year old Grandmother, but I've never done this before.
The rest of my coach is in great condition and I just want to install the new ladder before I list the coach for sale.
