Gel Coat or Fiberglass?

Newbie here so I’ll apologize in advance... we recently purchased Our first RV, a 2015 Four Winds 28f and love, love it! It was stored outside, has some oxidation and could use a good wax. Lots of products out there for “fiberglass” and “gel coat” but, I cannot find in my manual which one I have. Any suggestions to determine which I have? And, what products do you recommend? There are a lot out there. Thank you!

Gel coat is the final finish surface for a fiberglass item. So, the answer is Both.

"Gelcoat or 'Gel Coat' is a material used to provide a high-quality finish on the visible surface of a fibre-reinforced composite. The most common gelcoats are thermosetting polymers based on epoxy or unsaturated polyester resin chemistry. Gelcoats are modified resins which are applied to moulds in the liquid state".
So, if the oxidation is too bad you can use a "cleaner/wax" like this by Meguiars. https://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-M501.../dp/B0000AXMY8

I would start with McGuire's Gelcoat restorer. Ideally use an orbital foam buffer. Next use a good sealer and then wax.

We had to go with a ceramic coating job on the whole RV . Oxidation was really bad on one side . Now looks like almost new. Supposed to last about 3 years.
