Have a 2015 Thor Four Winds 35SK. We are just out of warranty and have several issues that have arisen in addition to the 15 or so issues that were taken care of during the warranty period. We have a window crank that is stripped. Has anyone changed one before? I looked at it and it seems to have rivets and not screws. These are the frame less windows. Thanks in advance for the info.
Are you sure it is the crank and not the handle? Mine striped out, and all I had to do was replace the handle that is plastic and the groves rounded over from me taking it off and not putting it on right. My bad. But make sure it is not the handle.
Problem probably resulted from hard to close window. Look at end of arms on window end and you will a small plastic disk that rides in a track. I put small dab of silicon paste lube on a q tip and with window almost full open lubed both sides. Window now operates with ease. Did it to all of them and every one got easier to open and close.
Upon further inspection, looks like the screw holding the handle on was missing thus causing the handle to strip when trying to close tight. Even though it is stripped, reinstalled with the found screw and seems to tighten better but I think will still need to replace handle. Thanks for the link, will check it out.
