THIS is funny!!! I just got back from a 4800-mile trek today! Have you done the oil-fill extension tube yet? I need to do that one badly!!! I mean, I need badly to to do it, not to do it badly!

I have all the parts ready. And as you can see in the pic, I did a pretty casual layout for the filler.

I found stainless steel flexible radiator hose is going to be my choice for the hose, about 20 bucks. It bends and stays exactly where you put it.

It's a locking water fill.
The clear part of the funnel takes the place of the oil fill cap on the engine, the top part of the funnel gets thrown away. (the funnel is specially made to lock onto the filler cap lugs, so, in essence, it's a tall open filler cap. It has a gasket and the correct lugs for a v10)

The two parts, water filler and oil filler funnel bottom, connect together with a semi ridgid stainless steel radiator hose and two clamps.
The new filler Is considerably higher than the engine filler cap so it will gravity feed as fast as you can dump oil into it, and the the new filler tube will completely and almost immediately drain itself.

You'll drain the oil, unlock the cap, add oil, and never even open the hood.
It's built in, no pvc trombone, no giant beer bong, no wife involved.

Cheap and easy.

I WAS going to put the full on black Plastic ocking door with the built in water fill, about 8x9 inches, and mount my remote battery lugs in the door with the fill.
Too carried away.
I can open the hood if I ever need a jump.

The water filler come oil filler matches the real water filler on the same side of the vehicle.
I'll install the oil filler level with the water filler if I can. Symmetry and all that....

I'm having a problem understanding the oil filler mod on this site.
I have a Thor Vegas 25.2 and would love to have a simple way to change or add oil. The one shown by Timmy appears to be simple but I just don't quite understand what is done. It appears that a hole is drilled just ahead of the mirror and some kind of a inlet is installed, then a tube down to a part of a funnel. Am I close to what has been done. Please help me understand.
