Windshield Rubber Gasket Treatment

Last year we had custom window covers made for our RV. Just spent a lot of time getting black stains off the fabric that came from the black rubber around the windows. Any suggestions out there on how to treat the rubber to minimize this transfer. I have been advised not to use an Amoural product but maybe a tire product. That I must use something that won't dry out or break down the rubber. Any suggestions?

I have been using it since 2004 for my then shiny new PopUp when it was the Fleetwood Folding Trailer OEM specified product to use on all of the vinyl-coated tenting.

Because it was already at hand, I started using it on car and trailer tires, and other exterior plastic doodads, vinyl hotub cover, and even on RV paint and boat fiberglass gelcote.

After 11 years of "testing", it appears to work well in Southern California sun-exposed items.
