Windsport 29M, water pump noise all of a sudden

We were on about our fifth trip in our new Windsport and the water pump really started making a lot of noise. It goes away if you have two facets running. I pulled the seat cushion to take a peek and can't even see the pump. Under the water tank? It almost sounds like a mounting screw may have come out. We've found at least three or four mystery screws on the floor so far. So who knows?

And once I can find the pump I assume I will find the winterizing bypass valve and suction tube to suck pink stuff into the lines?

Cant help you on the winterizing. My 29m doesnt have it. In Ca we only have winter a couoke days a year.

The water pump will alway make noises when running. Not sure if the noise you are hearing is normal or not. No noise when using the city water hook up because the pump is needed.

You can't fool me, I'm from the S.F. bay area. I grew up in the Sierra's, it gets real cold up there!

Hmmmmm I'm not sure. Yes mine makes the noise but I've never heard it with the seat cover removed so the noise is always muffled. And I've never really paid to much attention to it.

Hopefully someone else can comment and help you.

I'll assume it pumping fine but you're only concerned with the noise.
I know Dave, SuperD, installed something on his 29m to help reduce the noise. He'll probably see this and help you out. If not send him a message. Dave is very helpful.

Have no idea. Goes black screen as soon as I hit the play button. I had to shorten the video to make it upload.

I see lots of folks swear by accumulators, but will that void my Thor warranty?

That sounds like something else is going on... blockage possibly. If it is under warranty I would tell the dealer to replace the pump first. The accumulator should help it run smoother and a bit less but won't help that noise.

Thanks. It sure seemed like it got that noisy all of a sudden. I did notice one of the four screws holding it down had popped out.

Yes the pump is a little noisy, you can make it a little quieter with a little work.

Install a pump silencing kit and an accumulator tank. Mount the pump and tank on a piece of thick scrap carpet, don’t tighten the screws very tight, gives the pump some room to move on the carpet which helps absorb the noise and vibration.im including a picture, the clear lines serve the same purpose as the silencing kit, I made my own because I had the parts. The pump is located under the forward facing dinette seat. I installed the carpet after this picture was taken. Hope this is helpful.
