Windsport 35M Microwave

Took our first trip with our new 35M on a 3500-mile RT out west. Trip went fairly well going west. The trip back was a real white knuckle drive(a story for another time). The microwave stopped working so we could not use it, ck the breaker and was OK. Got back home and started looking for the problem. Checked the receptacle and no power and all the wires were hooked up. Removed the mattress to get the wiring and this is what I found. The neutral wire did not have a tight connection and the about half of all the terminals were loose to where I could pull the out by hand. I am wondering why the breaker did not turn off. All the wires under the bed are just a rat's nest and nothing is marked on the panel as to what each control. The water pump was not even bolted down. After I bolted the water pump it made a lot less noise when it comes on. I guess things could have been worse (fire). Hope this might help some others.

Seems as though the "QC team members" overlooked a few details. Will things of that nature improve as "the market" cools off? Not likely... those QC team members are a drag on the bottom line.

Glad you found the blatant safety issues and no fire ensued. Things like this really irk me... what happened to "a job worth doing is worth doing RIGHT"? ...or pride in craftsmanship? Especially when sloppy work could kill someone?

Breakers trip on overcurrent, not open circuit. Your loose neutral was an open circuit that prevented current flow.
