Wiring and mice

Just had to have my entire 2018 Grand Cherokee wiring harness replaced due to mice and squirrels. Found out that the harness on many vehicles now is soy (plant) based which attracts rodents as a food source. So does anyone know or heard if either Thor or Mercedes uses soy based wiring? I plan to do a peppermint spray attack on the vehicles just in case since they must sit outside. The motor home now is sitting more than usual due to family health issues. Any other successful thoughts (cats are out, allergies) on prevention would be appreciated.
